Bitter Ditty is a song about love gone wrong. It’s a concise, modern, piano jazz-blues. Sung by an angry man, we hear of love slipping by the wayside as each lover details the other’s shortcomings in sharp, single lines. She finds him needy, young, drunk and pessimistic. He finds her cold and old, belligerent and bitter. His own bitterness emerges in tongue-in-cheek, in a mixture of humour and genuine anger. The video features an abstract struggle between a pianist and a dancer.
